Penumbra

The real work of magic is often done by the assistants, usually female in those days. Small of stature, nimble and able to fit in very small spaces, magician's assistants could make or break the trick. Penumbra was originally an assistant of master magician Mark Kalin when he was appearing in "City Lights" at the Flamingo HIlton in the late 80's. These photos were taken for Penumbra's new show being booked overseas with her as the star magician. She is chained to the infamous "Table of Death".
