IN THE NEWS August 15, 1977  Mac Davis is the "Music Maker" and Wayne Newton is the "Midnight Idol" the Vegas Visitor announces as their shows open respectively at the MGM Grand and the Sands Copa room. Wayne Cochran rocks out at the new Aladdin showroom. Miami critic John Huddy said of Cochran, "nobody, at least no one white man, can deliver soul, rhythm and blues, old time rock n' roll, and new fangled rock music with the demonic intensity of the Georgia cracker".
