IN THE NEWS August 14,1981  - "ANNIE" comes to Vegas and it's a hard-knock life. The hit musical is on stage nightly in the Desert Inn's Crystal Room but if Broadway shows about kids are not for you, there's a western style hoedown going on over at the Silver Slipper called "Branded" that is sure to get your boots a kicken'. And, let's not forget the crowd-pleasing performances of Sandler & Young over at the Flamingo Hilton.
