IN THE NEWS May 19, 1972  - ROBBINS NO BIRD BUT SINGS WELL....it's headlines like this that are sooooo Las Vegas. Mary Robbins returns to the Fremont Hotel a big winner with his 1971 hit "My Woman, My Woman, My Wife" and is joined by Jerry Collins and the hotels own Al Jahns Orchestra. Italian born charmer, Sergio Franchi is a rare treat for Flamingo Hotel audiences and the gorgeous cast of the all new "Wonderful World of Burlesque '72 show us its feathers.

Cover Girl Caption  LOVELY ACROBAT - 21 year old Carol Arango, the Tropicana Hotel entry in the "International Sportsworld Pageant" has been named Miss Acrobatics and will compete June 10th in the Miss Sportsworld Pageant at the new Las Vegas Stadium. A preview of her prowess, as a lovely Rudas Dancer, can be arranged twice nightly with a reservation to see the hotel's Folies Bergere. Incidentally, the proceeds from the pageant will be donated to the Southern Nevada March of Dimes.
