IN THE NEWS March 12, 1971  - Surely the REYNOLDS RAPS AT DESERT INN headline this week doesn't refer to Debbie Reynolds becoming a rap star....yeah, wrong era. What it does say is that she returned to Las Vegas after a four year hiatus to perform at the Desert Inn with comedian Larry Wilde. Harry James is back in the DI's Lady Luck Lounge and the Royal Show Band of Ireland is shown here picking up their wives and many children at the airport for their gig at the Stardust Hotel.

Cover Girl Caption  WHO KISSES WHO - Rebecca Kapp hopes to serve a dual purpose in the upcoming Mint 400 Del Webb Desert Rally March 21-23. Miss Kapp, a veteran boat racer and professional model, will co-drive in the $50,000 off road classic with Indianapolis 500 veteran Wally Dllenback as her co-driver. She also has entered the Mint 400 beauty contest.
