IN THE NEWS January 12, 1979   -LIBERACE has the headline, again, opening at the Las Vegas Hilton with his rhinestone studded Rolls Royce and extravagant wardrobe. Italian tenor Sergio Franchi is appearing at the Frontier Hotel and Casino and Nipsey Russel comes along with him. Nispsey just finished starring with Diana Ross in the film "The Wiz", soon to be released.

Vegas Visitor Cover Girl Caption  PLAYBOY CHEERLEADER - Lithe and lovely Christine DeSimone may be wearing a cowboy hat, but you can bet she will be rooting for the Pittsburg Steelers in the upcoming Super Bowl. Chris was a "Steelerette" cheerleader in Pittsburg before moving to Las Vegas to become one of the dancing dolls in the Marina Hotel's "Bare Touch of Vegas". She has been getting a few cheers of her own lately because of her sexy photos in the current issue of Playboy Magazine. Chris is one of "The Girls of Las Vegas" photographed by the Visitor's Robert Scott Hooper.
